ACCULTURATION SEMINAR FOR INTERNATIONAL PRIESTS REGISTRATION INFORMATION
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for admission to the program,
a priest must
RESIDENCE: To enhance the learning environment, each participant will
be assigned a private room within the student residence halls. Meals
will be provided on campus. Athletic and library facilities will be available
to participants. COSTS:
FACULTY: Faculty for the ACCULTURATION PROGRAM are drawn
from the St. John’s University faculty, staff of the Vincentian
Center, diocesan administrators, and foreign-born resident priests. Since
1995 the Vincentian Center for Church
and Society at the University has offered programs in management for pastors
and has worked with seminarians and priests from the three metropolitan New
York dioceses. The Vincentian Center also collaborates with the Center
for Migration
Studies. FOLLOW-UP SEMINAR: As a follow-up to the June session,
during the academic year participants will be offered the opportunity
of meeting with the St. John’s
team and addressing various topics in an afternoon seminar. These convenings
will provide additional learning and support to the participants. SCHEDULE: The seminar opens at 12:30 p.m. on June 6 with lunch and closes on June 10 at 1:30 after a Eucharist and graduates luncheon. Downloadable registration form DIRECT
